Starting the year with the right set of personal tools, guidance, and attitude can help you have a better start. We all know how it can be very challenging to stay positive, healthy and focused throughout the course of the year, especially when we don’t know how to live stress-free, balanced, and stay true to ourselves.

This retreat is a wonderful experience of serenity and transformation. This is for you if you want to learn new tools to help you gain control of your wellbeing, through yoga & meditation practices that will rekindle your inner energy and help you surrender to the best 2023 has to offer.

Yoga Classes​

Suitable for all levels! Classes are filled with intention, flowing creative sequencing (vinyasa) and focus is given to the power of breathing. Diana's classes are absolutely transformative.

Talk - A New Cycle

Nothing is permanent, nothing is static. This is one of the highlights of our retreat. We will be talking about the Yoga's philosophy and how to bring it to our daily lives.

Breathwork Session

Explore and experience the relationship between breathing and mental activity. We will practice different, ancient exercises which will help you achieve tranquillity of the mind.

Free-Soul Dance Session

Empowers you on a journey of renewed self-improvement and awakening that encompasses the mind, body, and soul through free-movement.​

beach walk and meditation

A magical retreat just a few minutes from the ocean. We will walk to the beach, meditate and chill in the sand. Both the rooms and the yoga shala have an ocean-view.


Meditation is the act of remaining and observing the mind. Noticing but not engaging with thoughts. Believe us, it sound harder than it actually is. In this myalfazema retreat, we will give you space and time to practice your meditation skills.

The Hosts


Diana was born in Porto, Portugal, and has a background in creative arts and wellbeing.
She’s an architect & designer by training, certified yoga & meditation teacher, and the owner of an innovative, cultural, and wellbeing studio in the south of Portugal.

Having practiced for over 16 years and graduated in Hatha & Ashtanga Yoga in Rishikesh (the "capital of yoga", in India), she’s been teaching back in India, the UK, France, and Portugal for 9 years now.
Diana fell in love with Yoga from the very beginning but it was only when she used it to recover from an injury as a means to strengthening and balancing the mind & body, that the practice transformed her on so many levels - she feels a strong sense of responsibility to share it, which initially inspired and continues to inspire her to teach.

Breathwork instructor jasper

Jasper is a Yoga therapist with over 500 hours of training, a Breathwork instructor and Vipassana meditator.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Jasper realised that he had to make a change in his life. While on treatment, he got interested in Yoga and its holistic perspective on health.

His classes are based in Hatha yoga, which focuses on the power of breathing and concentration. Jasper likes guiding a strong practice that feels light, while giving presence and awareness. Movement and breath are used as primary tools to harmonize Body and Mind.

In this session, we will explore and experience the relationship between breathing and mental activity. We will practice different, ancient exercises which will help you achieve tranquillity of the mind.

Elena is a kind soul. She is passionate about conscious and vegan food. She is a dedicated and kind-of-perfectionist chef who wants to ensure everyone enjoys their nutritious meal.
Elena has worked in the Food and Beverage Industry her entire life, from working in different Restaurants in Germany to being an Event Manager in one of the biggest hotels in the Middle East. She became more passionate about Food when she changed her diet in 2014. What initially started out of curiosity to be able to have an informed opinion, became her mission to educate and impress. She enjoys cooking for people to show that a well balanced, nutritious diet is tasty, versatile and above all fun.
Elena values the relationships with farms in her neighbourhood to offer quality, seasonal and organically grown produce. She creates new, recreates the “old” but always make sure that the food served is aligned with the event itself, from Retreats, to fine-dining dinners, to weddings.

I see it as a puzzle. It’s important to me that my piece of the puzzle (the food I make) fits perfectly into your picture and how you see it.”

The Venue

Quinta dos raposeiros

A magical venue just a few minutes from the ocean and surrounded by beautiful hikes. We will walk to the beach, meditate and chill in the sand. Both the rooms and the yoga shala have an ocean view.
This beautiful paradise is only 35 minutes away from Lisbon airport and 5 minutes from Ericeira, one of the most famous traditional Portuguese fishing villages.

Lisbon airport is a 35 minute drive from the venue (Uber / Bolt is available in Lisbon). We will create a WhatsApp group ahead of the retreat so you can share a ride with other guests.

Transfers from and to the airport are not covered by myalfazema, but we can help you organize transportation. 

5th January: Room Check in from 14:00

8th January: Room Check out at 17:00

—> The retreat officially starts at 18:00 with the mysalutation session followed by the first practice.

—> If you arrive earlier you can drop off your stuff and spend some time at the guest house, go down to the beach or visit the nearby village of Ericeira.

Don't worry! We will be sending a questionnaire to know more about you and your preferences so that we can provide you with alternatives.

This is one of the most frequent questions we receive. And the answer is ‘Absolutely yes!’.

You are more than welcome to join us if you’ve never stepped on a mat before, have never done a yoga class, have only begun your practice, or even if you’ve been practicing for years and want to deepen your knowledge.
