How do I view acceptance on a personal level?

During one of our talks at a myalfazema retreat, we delved into the concept of acceptance - demystifying what this truly means and exploring how to embrace the more challenging aspects of life, and peacefully move on.

At one point, Angela asked me what acceptance feels like to me. I took the time to think a little deeper about this and I realized that, for me, I feel I’ve truly accepted something when I can think and speak about it openly, without feeling pain, triggered, or anxious. It’s when I can express my feelings and beliefs about the event with complete honesty, without trying to manipulate my own or others’ perspectives. When I’m aligned with the truth of what happened, trusting that it unfolded as it was meant to, and recognizing all the good that has followed.

Each situation is different. Sometimes it takes years, sometimes months, and sometimes just a second to fully understand and accept it. It’s a journey 🔮

Dear Angela, thank you for bringing this to the table so I could explore this more deeply.

And you? What does acceptance mean to you? How do you feel when you’ve accepted something? 💥
